Linda Davies is a British author of financial thrillers. Linda Davies read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at St Edmund Hall, Oxford graduating in 1985, then worked for seven years as an investment banker in New York City, London and Eastern Europe. Her novels reflect her time spent in investment banking, with one Amazon reviewer noting that the "incessant foul language" in her 2014 thriller Something Wild was at times too overwhelming. Inspired by her city career, she left to write her first novel, Nest of Vipers. She spent three years living in Peru, and then moved to London with her husband, merchant banker Rupert Wise, and their two sons Hugh and Tommy. She now lives in Dubai with her husband, her two sons, and her daughter Lara.
