The company was founded in 2015 with the intention of providing reliable news and content by members of society generally regarded as more trustworthy by the general public than those in what is deemed the mainstream media. Lima Charlie veteran journalists seek to investigate and report the news with unparalleled access and a noble eye towards promoting peace, understanding and positive political engagement. Lima Charlie provides content on a wide range of topics including National and International news, Foreign Policy, Politics, Science & Tech, Economics, Environment, Travel, Food, Health, Media, Culture, National Security and Veteran's issues.
Background
Lima Charlie began as a veteran documentary project in 2011, focusing primarily on a group of U.S. veterans that had returned from combat service in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lima Charlie (NATO alphabet signifying "Loud & Clear") developed into a news entity in early 2015 and was founded as Lima Charlie Media, LLC, a limited liability company. Lima Charlie Media is based primarily in New York City, but is expanding to establish overseas bureaus staffed by military veterans from various parts of the world.

Lima Charlie staff and contributors consist primarily of combat veterans and active duty officers, from all branches of the military, with a small percentage of positions staffed by civilians. Lima Charlie's core mission is to train veterans and service members worldwide as journalists and content producers.

Currently in development (2017) is the television series (working title) Lima Charlie: Loud & Clear, following the Lima Charlie team as they journey worldwide connecting with veterans and military members of foreign services.

In August, 2016, Lima Charlie launched their first podcast series, "The Horse Race". Hosted by Mike Connolly, Brendan McKinnon, and Dan Webb, the show looks at political news and election developments with an informative and entertaining perspective.
