Lil Boat is the debut commercial mixtape by American hip hop recording artist Lil Yachty. It was released on March 9, 2016, by Quality Control Music, Capitol Records and Motown, serving as his first release with Quality Control, Capitol and Motown. Recording sessions took place from 2015 to 2016, with the production on the album was primarily provided by TheGoodPerry, along other record producers such as 1Mind, Earl & Bangs, and Grandfero; as well as it features guest appearances from Young Thug, Quavo and Byou, among others.

Critical reception
In a positive review, Nick Henderson of Tiny Mix Tapes wrote that "Lil Boat is the kind of music that does not need to make a case for its own value, only judged on the intangible, absurdist metrics of its self-contained universe." Sheldon Pearce from Pitchfork gave it a rating of 4.8, citing that the mixtape "makes a grating mess of varying influences."
Commercial performance
The mixtape were downloaded over 381,000 times on Spinrilla, 111,000 times on Spotify (along with 581,000 streams), with 1,000,000 that listen to nearly of all 14 tracks from that mixtape on SoundCloud, including over 47 million plays on his commercially successful single, "One Night".
