Career

Losnegård started writing songs and playing the piano. Listening to hip hop music, he developed a melodic "good-guy hip hop" style where his musicality and wide background of genres was reflected.
He participated in Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005, under the name Lil'P. This stage name was the origin of the name LidoLido. The next five years LidoLido gave out five free mixtapes online, including a trilogy: "Play Loud Music", "The Fresh Breath" and "The Good Guy Mixtape." He also released his first official single "Go'n Be Gone" on the Fairplay Entertainment label. After his last release, Losnegård appeared on NRK's Lydverket, and signed a record deal with Universal Music Norway. Meanwhile, he finished high school, having studied music at Skeisvang High School in Haugesund.
His first release on Universal Music was the single "Fake ID (Kidz in the Club)" in 2010. Losnegård's "Once Upon A Time", featuring Bjørn Johan Muri, was a hit single that same year. He was selected to play on the SxSW international trade festival in Austin, Texas, United States.
In 2011 came Losnegård's first breakthrough single, "Different", which became a radio hit and the year's most played song on NRK P3. A sequel, "Turn Up The Life" featuring Yosef Wolde-Mariam and Timbuktu, was an even bigger hit, much due to the appearance on the televised Grammy Awards ceremony.
On February 3, 2012 he released his debut album Pretty Girls & Grey Sweaters at Universal Music, which received much attention in an unusually wide audience. Losnegård synthesized the entire album, with Little Steven, Jarle Bernhoft, Timbuktu, Yosef Wolde-Mariam and Ole Edvard Antonsen as guests. The album went platinum in Norway, with praise by the Norwegian press. For the album, he also received a Gramo[1] scholarship and was awarded "Newcomer of the Year" at Spellemannprisen 2012.
Abandoning previous musical incarnations, Losnegård emerged as one of the pre-eminent producers of 2014 and 2015, producing the debut album for Halsey and headlining two sold out US tours.
He has performed versions of his original songs and remixes with KORK - the Norwegian Radio Orchestra - and as a remixer he has received high praise for his work with alt-J, Bastille, Banks, The Weeknd, Disclosure and Bill Withers. He has composed the single "Better" by Banks, and the songs "Angels" and "Same Drugs" by Chance the Rapper and "Tokyo Narita (Freestyle)", with Halsey on the vocals. Losnegård is a member of the "FoFoFadi Foodchain" group/unofficial record label alongside Booty Beaver, Drippy Dolphin, Disco Duck, Wasted Whale, Faded Fox and Girly Gorilla.
Discography
