Early life

Apple Graceffa was born and raised in Calabasas, California. He was born when both his parents, Kristina and Joseph, were sixteen years old. He is the eldest of four children. Growing up, his family suffered from financial problems. His father died when he was sixteen, and his mother later remarried. His family relocated to Orange County.

Cheerleading career

Prior to cheerleading, Graceffa was a dancer. He started dancing in elementary school at Noble Ave Elementary School in Van Nuys participating in after school drill team. He later joined his middle school drill team and show choir at Portola Middle School in Tarzana. Graceffa started freshman year of high school at Chatsworth High School but later transferred back to his home high school, where he was a member of his high school dance team, at William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills. He began all-star competitive cheerleading with a few high school cheerleaders who convinced him to try cheerleading at California All Stars. In March 2012, Graceffa was named Cheerleader of the Month and went on to become a National Champion at the NCA National Cheerleading Competition in Dallas, Texas and a Silver Medalist at the 2012 World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida competing on California All Stars premier team Cali Coed. On top of Nationals and Worlds, Graceffa has won state and grand champion at competitions with the California All Stars competing for levels 3 and 5. He broke a record in cheerleading, competing on 5 of California All Star's teams at one time. He eventually switched to homeschooling to be a full-time cheerleader, later relocating to Miami, Florida to cheer for the Top Gun Allstars. He was featured on the scripted Cheer Channel series Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader alongside Kiara Nowlin, Maddie Gardner, and Bailey Noble, making his debut on Season 1 Ep. 4, "Angels in the Area". and later on Season 2 Ep. 7 "Winner Takes All" The show was aired on the Cheer Channel Online Network as well as YouTube in May 2012. In September 2012 it was aired on the Cheer Channel's cable lock on Southern California's channel 64. Since the show Graceffa has also appeared on other YouTube shows such as AwesomenessTv "Cheerleaders" Season 2 Ep. 1 "Battle Of the Boys" which also features cheerleading superstar Robert Scianna with their viral video "Robert & Apple".

Adult film career

In 2013, Graceffa joined Helix Studios as a model and adult entertainer under the name Liam Riley for a six-month contract. The launch of Graceffa's adult film career was a huge controversy in the cheerleading industry, as Graceffa was a role model with tens of thousands of young fans. Despite the controversy, Graceffa became popular with fans and industry blogs, doing several interviews to explain his move into adult films. Graceffa/Riley's Helix duo with Andy Taylor—"Sex En Rouge," a European-styled cabaret scene—earned him a 2015 Cybersocket Award for "Best Sex Scene." Later in 2015, Graceffa/Riley took home the coveted Grabby Award for "Best Twink Performer" and was nominated as Str8UpGayPorn's "Best Gay Porn Star Of The Year." Liam Riley then had his first straight porn cameo in "Stockholm Syndrome," directed by James Deen. Graceffa/Riley developed a close relationship with Deen after the debut of "In Bed With Levi & Liam", a talk show that Deen had guest starred on. In May, Liam appeared in Cazwell’s “Downtown” music video with Levi Karter. Liam Riley and CockyBoys teamed with Paper Magazine and celebrity photographer Douglas Friedman, and he has also worked with fashion designer BCALLA for New York Fashion Week "Colby Keller Does America" & Nico Panda in a Parisian Photo Series. In 2016, he was nominated again at the Cybersocket Awards, this time for Best Porn Star, Best Movie or Web Series of the Year, and Best Sex Scene, all of which stemmed from his headlining role in the eponymous adult feature film "Meeting Liam." He is also nominated at the 2016 Grabbys in six categories: Best Twink Performer, Best Actor, Hottest Bottom, Best Duo, Best Supporting Actor, and Hottest Rimming. Liam Riley is now contracted as an adult film actor and model with CockyBoys. Since his career Riley auditioned for Big Brother Season 18. On June 27, 2016 Liam appeared on a YouTube show as the first adult film star on "Hey Qween" hosted by Johnny McGovern and Lady Red Couture.
