Lewis Maxwell Selby Jnr. (born July 18, 1991) is a Ghanaian web developer, blogger and Internet entrepreneur. He is best known as the founder of the social blogging website TimelineBlogs. As of November 2014, TimelineBlogs moved into the limelight due to various extracted features from many blogging and social networking websites. Early 2015, an announcement was made to the general public to inform them of a mobile version of the website that runs through all mobile platforms. TimelineBlogs is a social platform that offers people an easy and convenient way to share their thoughts and opinions with the outside world.

Together with a couple college mates flanked with motivation from very close friends of Selby, the inspiration of creating the next big thing came into reality when TimelineBlogs was launched right from the comforts of Selby's living room in September 2014. Ironically the popularity of TimelineBlogs spread with the help of already rivaled social networks and blogging sites.
Early life
Selby Jnr. was born in 1991 in Accra, Ghana. He is the son of systems analyst Lewis Maxwell Selby and fashion blogger Jane Selby. He and his brother, Michael Ekow Selby were brought up in Accra, Ghana. Selby was raised Christian.
At Achimota Senior High School, Selby studied general sciences. He was the house prefect of Gyamfi House on the eastern compound of the school. In 2011, he moved on to college to study Bsc. Computer Science in Valley View University. His profound interest in computers made it obvious he was doing exactly what he dreamed of. During his stay in college, he authored many articles including these profound two which found their way in reputable journals; "Transactions Processing Subsystems for Databases Based On ARIES Write-Ahead Logging for The Client-Server Architecture Approach" and "A Flexible Framework For Implementing Multi-Nested Software Transaction Memory".
In college, he excelled classically in all courses and achieved merits from the Vice Chancellor of the University for graduating with the highest cumulative grade point average in the Computer Science Department. The 20th congregation of the school in 2014, honored him a first class honors degree in Bsc. Computer Science.
Software developer
Selby starting developing apps with C++ shortly before entering college. This served as a foundation to his interests in the whole software development environment. Encouraged by his father, Selby started off by creating simple and complex math algorithms. His lecturers took note of his interests and steered him in the right direction towards his career.
Selby offered a four-month internship in July 2012 at Ghana Highway Authority as a network engineer/ IT support at the management information systems division. In September 2012, he took a Google map maker training course and was certified a trained Google map maker a few weeks later. Selby has interests in photography and with the help of two other mates in college created a brand "Bravura 360". This team edited submitted self-portraits of fellow students in their university and other universities in the country. They also covered events held by associations in their school and published edited photos on a public platform. In 2014, Selby was placed on a programming team to develop a fully functional forum for the Ghana Police Service in response to a request for sponsorship by the service. At the end of this program, he was appointed a team leader in a programming project to develop a school management system for GHANATA Senior High School as Valley View University's social responsibility to its neighbor institutions. As of 2014, Selby got accustomed to C# for stand-alone applications but fell in love with php.
After he finished college, he was posted to Multimedia group Limited to offer his national service. Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) was founded in 1995 by Kwasi Twum with a clear vision to create the most influential and credible media brand in Ghana. Selby, since October 2014, has worked as Web Developer/YouTube Creator in the company. Three months into offering his service, he was inspired to create the next big thing out there. That was the birth of TimelineBlogs. Picking up tips from his colleagues and superiors, TimelineBlogs, funded by his parents, was launched in the comforts of his parents' living-room. Selby quoted on his Facebook profile that we should live the life we love and love the life we live.
