History

Lethbridge School was set up in the year 1891 and initially took children between the ages of 7 and 14. In 1892, an infants school moved in from a nearby Methodist School premises. 1 year later, there were 198 infants attending the school, but there was much worry about numerous absences. During the year of 1896, a parents day was held to try to solve the problem, but no one turned up. In 1935, wooden huts were erected for the infants, and were still in use during the Millennium. During 2001, the Infants and Junior school merged, creating the Primary School. In August 2011, Lethbridge Primary School gained its Academy Status. The Primary School's first Headmaster, Mr Ray Norman retired in May 2012 and the school's deputy became Acting Head. In June 2012, it was announced that Miss Violet Mclaren, Headteacher of Wroughton Infant School had been appointed as the new Headteacher with effect from September 2012.

Feeder School

Lethbridge is a feeder school to the nearby Secondary Academy The Commonweal School.
