Lester Knutsen is president of Advanced DataTools, an IBM Informix Consulting, Training, and Support Partner specializing in data warehouse development, database design, performance tuning, and Informix training and support.

Lester is past-president of the Washington Informix Users Group, and one of the founding members of the International Informix Users Group. He is a member of the IBM Gold Consultant program and in 2008 was awarded as one of the Inaugural IBM Data Champions.

In June 2014, Knutsen's IBM Champion title was renewed.
