Les Cinémas Gaumont Pathé is a joint venture between French film production and distribution companies Pathé and Gaumont which was created in 2000. As of 2016, the company owns 1051 screens in cinemas over France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium. The company sold 64,5 million tickets in 2015 in their 110 cinemas. The company is market leader in each country in which it is active, except Belgium. Until 2010 the company also operated cinemas in Italy, but due to difficulties in the local market they sold their assets. On December 1, 2015, Les Cinémas Gaumont Pathé acquired Cinépointcom. Corporate structure

The company is owned 66% by Pathé and 34% by Gaumont. The company has assets of €1,015 million in assets and €529.7 million in shareholder equity.

Brand management

The company is using five brands in their exploitation of the cinemas, not all brands are used in each country the company is active in. In France they use Pathé and Gaumont; In Switzerland they only use Pathé; In Belgium they use Cinepointcom and in The Netherlands they are using Pathé and Cinemec. In France there is one locations which isn't using any of the company brands, this is the cinemas Les Fauvettes.
