Leroy Brothers are three Belgian brothers working as contemporary artists in the field of Social Media Art, Postinternet Art. and New Media Art. Nicolas (°1979) studied Fine Art at the Art Academy Villa Arson in Nice, France and at the The Cass, (now London Metropolitan University), while Gilles (°1978) and Gregory (°1975) are art autodidacts. They live and work in France. Leroy Brothers use the Internet as their primary source for the conceptualisation of their art projects.
They have been selected for the Jing'an International Sculpture Park exhibition during the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai amongst other internationally acclaimed artists such as Jaume Plensa, Wim Delvoye, Gao Brothers, Zhang Wang, Alexander Arrechea, Jim Dine, Chen Wenling, Jan Fabre and others.
In 2014 they were invited for a major show in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, when they collaborated with the legendary Russian rock band Mumiy Troll to design the artwork for their album SOS Matrosu.

Witness Your World

Leroy Brothers are perhaps most known for their online art project Witness Your World, formerly known as BDRtist. In essence, Witness your World uses the representational and community features of the internet, but with results in physical space, as embodied in the art object.
