Leonid Ignatyevich Beda (Russian: Леонид Игнатьевич Беда) (16 August 1920 – 26 December 1976) was an aviation commander of the Soviet Army during the Great Patriotic War, twice Hero of the Soviet Union and recipient of several other awards.

Postwar

In February 1972, he became commander of the 26th Air Army at Minsk. On 23 February, he was promoted to Lieutenant general. Beda lived in Minsk. In February 1976, he became a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus. He died in a car crash on 26 December 1976 in Brest Oblast. Beda was buried in the Vostochnoye Cemetery in Minsk.
