Controversies
Lee Tae-im and Kim Ye-won had a fight while filming the Korean TV show My Tutor Friend. In Korean culture, hierarchy is very important in determining relationships, even when the difference in age is only 1 or 2 years. While they were filming in cold weather, Lee Tae-im told Kim Ye-won to go check the weather and Kim Ye-won allegedly started to disrespect Lee Tae-im, which caused the fight. Lee Tae-im swore at Kim Ye-won and the crew attempted to stop the fight and calm both of them.
After this incident, Lee Tae-im withdrew from the TV episode My Tutor Friend and the rest of the TV shows she was in, and decided to take some time out.
After a brief hiatus, she returned to television with the drama series "You Will Love Me." Despite initial public belief that Lee Tae-im was primarily responsible for the controversy, she was warmly received by both the media and the public upon her comeback. Additionally, Kim Ye-won issued an apology to Lee Tae-im and shared with the media her reflections on the incident and her relationship with Lee Tae-im.
