Career

In 2013, at the age of eighteen, Lee Tae-hwan made his official acting debut in the short TV series titled After School: Lucky or Not together with the members of 5urprise.

Tae-hwan became popular with his acting in the MBC drama Pride and Prejudice, in which he portrayed the character Kang Soo, an investigator and former taekwondo athlete. Lee's first historical period drama was Splendid Politics in which he played the young Prince Gwanghae. The older character was played by Cha Seung-won.

In 2016, Lee became known for his role in Please Come Back, Mister as Choi Seung-jae. He played a former gangster and bodyguard. His next notable role in 2016 was in MBC's popular drama W. He played Seo Do-yoon, Kang Cheol's (played by Lee Jong-suk) bodyguard and a martial arts instructor. He accepted another drama in 2016, MBC's weekend drama Father, I'll Take Care of You, a 50-episode family drama in which he portrayed one of the unmarried sons.

In 2017, Lee will return to the small screen with the weekend drama My Golden Life. He is set to play a high school classmate of Shin Hye-sun's character who is a student majoring in industrial design. He will portray an energetic and brave individual who has very particular likes and dislikes.
