Tedxboston john werner and maccalvin romain learning out of the box
Learning Out Of The Box is a math educational centre, focused on helping primary and secondary school students in Singapore. It is started by educational specialist, John Yeo in 2013. Learning Out Of The Box’s main programme, the Math Coaching Programme, is a weekly programme for primary school children aged 7 to 12. The programme focuses on helping children to develop interest in learning math by providing concept-based learning. Learning Out Of The Box also conducts regular workshops for parents. The workshop equipped parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools to guide their children at home and better support them emotionally.

John Yeo
John Yeo is an education specialist and entrepreneur with 7 years’ experience in family-based social work. Since 2004, he has worked with more than 400 families to date, and has a reputation for coaching student into high achievers through self-motivation techniques.
He has an honours degree in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and a graduate diploma in social work from National University of Singapore, John has been coaching students in Mathematics at primary and secondary level. He also works with teenage youth on life skills training to prepare them for their future, covering areas such as time management, problem-solving, planning and prioritisation and character development.
