Early life
She was born in Grimsby, just like Keeley Donovan and currently lives in Hull. She studied Film and TV and has a post-graduate level qualification in Broadcast Journalism gained from East Coast Media.
Career
She began her media career at the age of 16 working as a film critic for Yorkshire Television. She also worked as a camera assistant on entertainment programmes for Yorkshire Television before joining the BBC. She started her career working for BBC Radio Humberside as the stations community reporter. She later made the move to TV and worked as a producer before moving on screen as a Video Journalist and Presenter. She presents a variety of bulletins including the 6.30pm as a stand in for Peter Levy. Occasionally works for Network news at the weekends.
Personal life
On 16 March 2013, two days before her 32nd birthday, she married Radio Presenter Richard Allen at Burton Agnes St Martin church. The reception was at Burton Agnes Hall. Their honeymoon was in Thailand. The wedding featured in the local press and on several wedding blogs such as Brides Up North.
