Leandra Ramm

Repository for Germinal Choice

Leandra Ramm was conceived from the Repository for Germinal Choice, otherwise known as the Genius Sperm Bank. Born in Roosevelt Island, New York, a small island in Manhattan's East River, she was brought up by her parents Adrienne and David Ramm. Her biological father, known as "Donor Clear," is a scientist who works at a university and has published major research in his field. Leandra Ramm has been featured in performances and interviews on many media outlets, including television appearances on Anderson Cooper 360° Anderson Cooper 360°, The View, 60 Minutes, Good Morning America and more.

Education and Training

Leandra Ramm studied classical voice at Manhattan School of Music and continued her studies in classical voice. She balanced performing and school and said in a television interview that what's important is "nature and nurture" After college she went on to perform as a young artist with Sarasota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Opera Carolina, Arizona Opera and other opera companies. She began to crossover to musical theatre as well in 2006 with roles such as Antonia in Man of la Mancha, Estelle in The Full Monty and Leila in Iolanthe in regional theaters in the US and UK.

Performance Career

Leandra Ramm is a classically trained mezzo-soprano whose performances have been described as "beautiful and quite moving" (Nordstjernan Newspaper), "clear" and "perfect" (bachtrack.com). Equally at home with opera and musical theatre, Leandra Ramm performs in both genres. She has performed at numerous concert venues throughout the world including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The United Nations, and Symphony Space. Some of her most notable roles are: One Night with You (one woman show at the United Solo Theater Festival), Hester Prynne, A for Adultery (The Little Times Square Theatre), Sarah, Darwin in Malibu (Indra’s Net Theater), Tanya, Mamma Mia!, (Woodminster Summer Musicals), Leila, Iolanthe (International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival, Buxton Opera House, UK) and as a Lead Vocalist, Production Shows (Celebrity Cruises). In addition to her solo career as a classical mezzo-soprano and musical theatre actress, Leandra has been a professional member of the Grammy award winning San Francisco Symphony Chorus since 2014.

Bringing a Stalker to Justice and Helping Victims of Cybercrime

In 2005, Ramm was featured on the television programs Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN [7], The View, Good Morning America [8], "Ivanhoe Broadcast News" [9] and others, discussing her origins from The Repository for Germinal Choice and her present life. As a result, Leandra Ramm became the target of a Singaporean cyber-stalker (who found her on these shows) for over six years. In 2011, he was arrested for his cyberstalking crimes. Her persistence in bringing her stalker to justice, despite the non-existence of international cyber stalking laws or treaties, contributed to the passing of the Protection from Harassment Act in Singapore in 2014, in which she provided ideas and suggestions. She has helped numerous cyber stalking victims and has created a non-profit organization, The Alliance Against Cybercrime. Her case was the first international cyber stalking case in history to end in a conviction and sentence. Leandra Ramm paved the way for other similar cases to achieve justice. Her success was then featured in the "Contra Costa Times" in California[11].

Personal life

On February 23, 2014, Leandra married Jim Coniglio in Pittsburg, California at the California Theatre (it was the first wedding to take place there). The couple has two children.
