Lauro Moscardini is an Italian astrophysicist and cosmologist. He was a graduate student in astronomy at the University of Bologna, where he received his Ph.D. in 1989 for his pioneering work on N-body cosmological simulations with non-Gaussian initial conditions. He held positions at the University of Sussex and later at the University of Padua before being appointed professor of cosmology at the University of Bologna in 2002.
