History

LAW was founded by a group of lawyers; executives in the insurance company and construction industries; and pilots for Middle Eastern airlines. It is led by Andrés Dulcinelli. The consortium has invested USD $3 million in the airline, which may increase to $5 million. LAW will focus on operating flights to underserved markets.

LAW operated its first flight on 27 January 2016, from Santiago to Punta Cana. Flights make a technical stop in either Quito or Asunción. LAW uses a Boeing 737-300 aircraft belonging to fellow start-up Chilejet.

The airline hopes to add flights to Asunción, Montevideo, Santa Cruz, and Porto Alegre by the end of the year, as well as Pucón in 2017. It has also signed a lease for a Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
