Late Night Venture is a Danish indie/post-rock act, consisting of five persons, striving to serve pieces of dark pop and alluring soundscapes.

Late Night Venture, released their self-titled debut album in May 2006, which received quite good reviews from different places in the world.
Late Night Venture is often described as an individual interpretation of well known acts such as: Sonic Youth, The Cure, Yo La Tengo, Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Rós & Fellow Danes Mew.
Band history
Late Night Venture originally started in year 2000 as a band only consisting of Søren Hartvig and the former member Filip Glensaa making music with lots of electronics and only existed on the net. However, in 2001 the band Flying Virgins were put together with Peter Sørensen on drums and soon following Jens Back on Bass and Jonas Qvesel on keys.
Flying Virgins existed in the period 2001-2005 where a record was made: Your Spectacular Light and the EP Lazy Star one of the first free EP's distributed on the internet as MP3 and FLAC. In the period of Flying Virgins the band toured in Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
A change of setup and members happened as well in 2005, where Late Night Venture was formed in their now known form. Filip left the band and after a period as a quartet, Peter Olsen joined on guitars and vocals.
Late Night Venture released their self-titled debut in 2006, produced by Jonas Jørgensen (Figurines, The Defectors) to high acclaim in reviews around Europe. Late Night Venture toured a lot in Denmark, Germany and UK in that period, and the record got lot of attention both in Denmark and outside.
During 2008 LNV developed there style into an even more epic, atmospheric and heavier sound allowing the band to focus on their strong side: the journeys into hypnotic soundscapes. The first result of this can be heard on the bands forthcoming EP produced in Collaboration with Cult of Luna drummer/producer Magnus Lindberg, in the Tornado studios, Copenhagen making 4 epic songs which really opened the doors to where they are now.
After the recording session and a European tour in the summer of 2008 through Denmark, Germany, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Czech republic. The band is now back in the rehearsingroom writing new material and preparing themselves for new roadtrips!
