Overview
Larson Electronics was established by Earnie Larson in 1973 and purchased the Magnalight original handheld, portable lighting line and name from R&L Enterprises. The company initially focused on the cable industry as a power supplier. Currently, it provides services to military, oil and gas, marine, federal, hunting, manufacturing and commercial sectors.
The company's core products include high output lighting products, energy efficient LEDs and commercial lighting fixtures for professional applications.
In 2013, the company shipped lighting equipment to Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, where they were used to illuminate various locations on the U.S. military base. In Baghdad, Iraq, U.S. military groups were sent high grade lights that were used for patrolling and mounting on Abrams tanks.
Larson Electronics has also participated in organized civilian efforts to outfit military units. The company donated lighting equipment to the Marines Helping Marines Foundation in support of their fourth annual fishing tournament, and the LED spotlights to the National Elephant Conservation Centre in Malaysia in support of their relocation and protection efforts for endangered elephants.
