Background

Tunbjörk was born in the small Swedish town Borås, a town which was a big influence for his work during his entire career. Among his early inspirations was Swedish photographers as Christer Stromholm as well as Americans like William Eggleston. His photographs can be find in collections at the Museum of Modern Art, the Centre Pompidou and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris. Tunbjörk was a member of L’Agence Vu and worked for publications like The New York Times Magazine, Time, GEO, among others.
