The Lao Premier League (Lao: ລາວ ພຣີເມຍລີກ) is a football league representing the sport's highest level in Laos. The league is composed of 14 clubs following an expansion from 11 clubs (in 2015) for the 2016 season.

Format
Over the course of a season, which runs annually, each team plays twice against the others in the league, once at 'home' and once 'away'. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. The teams are ranked in the league table by points gained, then goal difference, then goals scored and then their head-to-head record for that season.
