Lansing High School is the only public high school in Lansing, New York. It has a population of roughly 350 students, with slightly under one hundred students in each graduating class.

Contents

Due to the district's relatively small size, there is one elementary school, one middle school and one high school.

Lansing High School is a rural high school, surrounded by farms and the small hamlet of Ludlowville.

Lansing High School's average graduating class is around 100. Recent numbers include:

Lansing High School has recently decreased in size to less than 400 students, but the overall diversity of the school has increased greatly, especially in the classes of 2011, 2012, etc.

Academics

Lansing High School offers Advanced Placement Courses including: United States History, Biology, Calculus AB, Music Theory I, French, Spanish, English, Computer Science, Statistics and Art

Lansing High School follows the New York State Public School's graduation requirements. It is possible to receive a local diploma, a regents diploma or a regents diploma with advanced designation.

Music

Lansing High School has a mixed chorus, a "varsity chorale", a band, an orchestra, a symphony orchestra and various a cappella groups (student run).

Bobcats

The Lansing School District's colors are blue and gold and the school mascot is the bobcat (otherwise known as the Lansing Bobcats.) Its mascot actor is a student volunteer, often senior mascots choosing to pass the honor to underclassmen friends.

Tim DeKay - actor on television show "White Collar" on USA Network Kyle Dake - four time national champion for the Cornell Big Red wrestling team Norman E. Snyder, Jr. - chief operating officer at SoBe, entrepreneur and philanthropist Christopher Woodrow - movie producer

Sports

In 2001 the Varsity Girls basketball team won a state championship.

In 2012 Connor Lapresi won a state championship in wrestling NYSPHSAA 132 lb. DII

In 2012 the Boy's Varsity Baseball Team won the New York State High School Baseball Championship. The Bobcats went undefeated with a 26-0 record.
