Early life
Renaldo was born October 21, 1995, in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in 2014. She currently attends the University of Southern California.
Music
Born into a musical family, Renaldo began playing drums at 3 years old. She taught herself how to play guitar for a year until she received formal lessons. Some of her influences include Father John Misty, Alabama Shakes, B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughn. In 2012, Renaldo was picked to go to the GRAMMY Foundation's GRAMMY CAMP in New York to participate as a songwriter. In the fall of 2015, she released her debut EP titled, "q u i e t h o u r s" followed by "The Elevator Song," Produced by Trey Vittetoe (Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez). She released her debut ep, 'Sophomore Season' on February 3, 2017.
Renaldo has performed in various venues throughout Los Angeles and recently performed at the Special Olympic World Games. She is also sponsored by Roland.
She performed alongside Alessia Cara at the American Music Awards and appeared in the Samsung Level Music Lab with Halsey.
Renaldo opened for Halsey at a Los Angeles date of the 2016 Badlands Tour.
