Elance "Lance" Frazier (born May 23, 1981) is an American former Canadian football cornerback and safety. He played college football at West Virginia University.

In his career, Frazier has played for the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, and the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL), Tampa Bay Storm, New Orleans VooDoo and Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League (AFL) and also for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

High school career

Frazier played high school football for Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, Florida. During his time there he helped lead the Sharks to their first playoff appearance in school history in 1997. While there, Frazier shared the offensive backfield with Jason Geathers currently of the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League.

College career

Frazier spent four years at West Virginia. As a junior, he recorded 49 tackles, eight pass break ups, and two tackles for losses. He was awarded the Whitney Gwynne Award from coaching staff for hi unsung contributions. As a team captain in his senior season, he totaled 61 tackles, 13 pass break ups, five tackles for losses, five interceptions, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries, he also returned 12 punts for 282 yards and a touchdown. In his career, he returned 42 punts for 490 yards. He was also a member of the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll, and he graduated with a degree in Physical Education specializing in athletic coaching.

National Football League (2004–2006)

Frazier went unselected in the 2004 NFL Draft, but was later signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. In October 2004, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys, who had numerous cornerbacks injured for lengthy periods of time. While he was with the Cowboys, Frazier started eight regular season games, recording 38 tackles, two interceptions, and in 2004, a punt return average that ranked ninth in the league among rookies.

After the 2005 season, Frazier signed with the Seattle Seahawks where he spent some time on the team's practice squad. He was waived by the team on August 28, 2006. He was then released by the team two days later.

Arena Football League (2006–2007)

In December 2005, Frazier signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League. On October 6, 2006, he was traded from the Tampa Bay Storm to the New Orleans VooDoo. The VooDoo placed Frazier on the Exempted list, due to his playing in the Canadian Football League as well as the Arena Football League. On November 9, 2007, Frazier was traded to the Philadelphia Soul for OL Kelvin Chaisson.

Canadian Football League (2006–2012)

Frazier signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders a few months later, in October 2006. In 2006, as a rookie, he played in one game, recording two tackles. In 2007, he recorded 24 tackles, one interception for three yards, and one fumble recovery for 31 yards. In 2008, he recorded 37 tackles, and led the team with five interceptions. In early 2009, the Roughriders re-signed Frazier before he entered free agency. On June 24, 2012, Frazier was cut by the Saskatchewan Roughriders, after playing six seasons with them and the two preseason games of 2012.

Personal life

In the off-season, Frazier spends his time in Delaware. He can often be found continuing workouts at the Brandywine YMCA. He is now a substitute teacher in Delaware for the Christina School District/kirk middle school. He is also a high school football coach in Delaware for Newark High School
