She has been married to Ravindra Hebbalkar and lives in Hindalga,Belgaum..
Political career
She was a candidate for the Belgaum rural constituency in the 2013 Karnataka Legislative elections. She vehemently opposed demonitisation saying it is causing immense trouble to poor in the rural areas of the state . Very much hard working and visionary woman for empowering women, upliftmenting the standard of living for people of belgavi rural constituency . Presently serving as the President of Karnataka Pradesh congress committee woman wing .
