Lakeside is a town in Douglas County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 609 at the 2000 census. The town was named for its location at the shore of Lake Superior.

Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 39.9 square miles (103.3 km²), of which, 39.9 square miles (103.2 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.08%) is water.
The town of Lakeside is located 17 miles east of the city of Superior.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 609 people, 226 households, and 169 families residing in the town. The population density was 15.3 people per square mile (5.9/km²). There were 264 housing units at an average density of 6.6 per square mile (2.6/km²). The ethnic makeup of the town was 97.87% White, 0.66% Native American, and 1.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.33% of the population.
There were 226 households out of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.2% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% were non-families. 19.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.69 and the average family size was 3.15.
In the town, the population was spread out with 26.6% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
