Lai Vung is a district (huyện) of Đồng Tháp Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam.

As of 2003 the district had a population of 160,125. The district covers an area of 220 km². The district capital lies at Lai Vung. This district is famous for its Mandarin orange which usually ripens in Tết holiday season and for the master craftman of boat in Long Hau commune. Other specialities are nem- a kind of fermented pork and Phong Hoa pomelo.
Economy
Agriculture is the dominant system in this district with many residents focusing on rice farming and fruit cultivation. Since 2006, an industrial zone has been established to encourage manufacturing.
