History
The Lago Mar Country Club was purchased from its original builders in 1980. After a multi-million dollar renovation in 2009, the golf course held a reopening ceremony on January 1, 2010.
Designed by golf course architect Kipp Schulties, the Club features tees ranging from 5,200 yards to over 7,000 yards for players. The club has more than 50 new style bunkers all through the course with g-angle sand, concrete cart paths throughout, and colonial-styled wooden bridges across waterways.
Lago Mar Country Club’s practice facility features a 5,000 sqft. Tiff Eagle putting green and is contoured. There is also a short game facility for wedge activities and bunker plays. The driving range features 15 acres of landing areas where players can find green side targets from 50 yards to over 250 yards.
Other amenities
Other facilities include the leisure and entertainment. There is an aquatic center, indoor and outdoor dining.
The club has 6 Har-Tru tennis courts surrounded by wind screens. There is also a pro-shop located in proximity of the tennis courts. Inside the clubhouse, there are facilities like men’s and women’s locker rooms and racquet repair.
