Purpose
Cleats allow the player to dig into the playing surface for control. A top-quality lacrosse cleat will have at between eight and ten cleats (nubs) on the bottom of firm shoe.
Types
There are various types of lacrosse shoes with the most popular being categorized as a "low" or "mid" lacrosse cleat. Lacrosse injuries from over-rotating an ankle or receiving a high-impact blow from a lacrosse ball is common, therefore lacrosse cleats are formed to provide maximum protection.
