The people of Labana tribe are divided into 11 clans, or Gotras: The Kundlas, Sandlas, Bhaarot, Bashak, Kochal, Kolach, Laslas, Kachap, Vashisht, Bishpl, and Altarays. These Gotras are divided into subclans called Alh (ਅੱਲ). Lobana people prefer their Alh names over their Gotra names as their surnames. Alh are also called Moohis.

The Labana Gotra names are derived from places, profession, ritual and prominent personalities; for example, the Multani Lobanas were named for Multan City when they came to the Punjab region during Nadir Shah's invasion of India in 1739.

After partition of India, new gots of displaced lobana become popular which were basically from name of their villages and districts like Tibbewale, Sadhie, Dolnie, Lyallpurie etc. The Gotras which considered to be infierier got changed to name of settlements which makes them feel less inferior. Gotras like Ghotra, Multani, Pelia considered themselves superior compare to Gotras of Gujjar and Khasariyas. The Makhanshahi clan is considered as sacred and holy clan.

Kundlas Gotra

This Gotra is divided into 30Alh: The Multani, Datla, Baghiana, Kaknie, Lalie, Kulsane, Kulvale, Hisabmane, Nimtiane, Najrane, Garhe, Musle, Koolie, Krdlie,Labana, Muiie, Sansiane,Tadimian ,Jogie, Daarie, Udamliye, Khabdie, Naale, Jaale, Jhande, Lanme, Karmani, Narsinghie, Bhaivaal, Manesi and Bale. Of these, the Multani, Datla, Baghiana, Badwal, merawat, Garhe, Kaknie and Manesi are the most significant Alhs.

Sandlas Gotra

Sandlas Gotra is divided into 29 Alhs: The Ajrawat, Matiana, Limtiana, Mundar, Bahadri, Dedeie, Fatekhani, Bhore, Lamdarhi, Muuchi, Mana Dedu, Urjade, Btagle, Kagdke, Dhothaal, Sadiani, Koliae, Baasoaani, Nanot, Makhanke, Sundrani, Titrie, Doke, Chitrie, Lakkadmndiae, Jangli and Raike. Of these, the Ajrawat, Ghotra and Matiane are the most significant Alhs.

In Kangra region, Ajrawats are also called Ghotra.

Bhaarot Gotra

This Gotra is divided into eight Alh: the Paade, Patvali, Dhadmi, Manihaani, Khandi, Yutiaani, Gaadriye and Chingadi.

Bashak Gotra

This Gotra is divided into eight Alh: the Kaasmi, Khasriye, Khoonikhasriye, Barrhie, Hardasiye, Malke, Makhanvaal and Karmooke. Of these, the Khasriya Alh is significant.

Kochal Gotra

This Gotra is divided into four Alh: the Mathaun, Bhonsiye, Adhmoodiye and Amalaiae.

Lasas Gotra

This Gotra is divided into six Alh: the Paal, Chaapniye, Faatrhe, Raaje, Bhaalke, Gomat and Sonak.

Vashisht Gotra

This Gotra is divided into seven Alh: the Naik, Brahmin, Chohanne, Gangeke, Gaalbi, Dasondiye and Nanakiye.

Bispt Gotra

This Gotra is divided into five Alh: the Saarsati, Nanki, Rakhbare, Dasondhiye and Bhaau.

Altarays/Altrelas Gotra

This Gotra is divided into six Alh: the Gojale, Taakde, Bodiye, Gauke and Bambiye.

Kolash Gotra

This gotra has following alh :lavlia, gujar

Kashav/Kashap Gotra

This gotra has following alh peliya, makhan shai
