La Mouette Profil

Design and development

The Profil was built as an intermediate glider, with a 50% double surface wing and an enclosed crossbar. The Profil was built in two sizes to account for differing pilot weights. The aircraft is made from aluminum tubing, with the wing covered in Dacron sailcloth. All models have a nose angle of 120°.

Profil 13

Small model for lighter pilot weights. Its wing area is 12.9 m² (139 sq ft), wingspan is 9.58 m (31.4 ft) and the pilot hook-in weight range is 45 to 60 kg (99 to 132 lb).

Profil 15

Large model for heavier pilot weights. Its wing area is 14.9 m² (160 sq ft), wingspan is 10.0 m (32.8 ft) and the pilot hook-in weight range is 55 to 80 kg (121 to 176 lb).
