LJ Klink is an executive chef and the winner of the Food Network's "Extreme Chef" episode "Ice House."

Background

Klink grew up in the woods in Washington State and roamed Alaska for many years as a tour guide. He served as an executive chef at a private fly-in resort during that time. He has been inspired by Tony B., Pete Tobin, and his parents. His parents are lifelong restaurant hospitality people.

Education

He graduated from Spokane Community College with an AAS in Culinary Arts. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor's degree in Communications and Government. He went on to graduate from Gonzaga University with a Masters in Organizational Leadership.

Career

Klink is an ACF Certified Executive Chef, Certified Culinary Administrator and Approved Certification Evaluator. He also has MCFE (Master Certified Food Executive) and a CFSE (Certified Food Service Educator)as part of his credentials. Klink won the "Ice House" episode of Extreme Chef on the Food Network in 2011. Klink was the Director of Richland’s Community College Culinary Arts Institute and full-time tenured professor. Klink is the co-owner of Klink's on the Lake in Cheney, Washington.

Hobbies

Klink has many hobbies including skydiving, customizing motorcycles, fixing kitchen equipment and hunting.
