As of 2016, LBC has over 1,252 branches in the Philippines, and over 60 branches in the United States and Canada. It also has branches in Hong Kong, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Spain, South Korea and Taiwan.

History

Luzon Brokerage Company was founded by Carlos Linggoy Araneta in the 1945 as a brokerage firm. With the help of his sons Juan Carlos, Santiago, and Fernando, Araneta expanded their family owned business and ventured into an air cargo agent and later as a forwarding service provider to clients. As a third party shipping provider, the company is responsible for dispatching shipments via asset-based carriers and arranges shipment space for their customers.The company continue to expand their logistic services in 1973 and introduced the 24-hour or overnight delivery services in the country later on. In 1985, The first branch of LBC outside the country was established in San Francisco, California, United States. Along with the opening of its US-based branch, the company introduced the famous “Balikbayan Box” and their money remittance service to cater to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW). The moniker "Hari ng Padala" was earned by the company in 1990. A more convenient solutions like Branch Pick-up and Bills payment were added in 2005. While the more secured mail service for personal documents, loose cargo and container load were introduced in 2010. From personal services, the company also expand their reach and target business owners who are in need to delivery and logistic services.

The company silently re-branded on 2013 to highlight the emotional side of the business.  Along with the brand overhaul, the company also opted to change the old logo to complement the new look and feel of the establishment. The new logo is called “Our Helpful World” representing the friendly smile of LBC employees and reminding them of their brand's 3C's (Certainty, Clarity, Convenience). In lieu to the re-branding, the company and its advertising partners also developed the new company tagline/slogan dubbed as "We like to move it".

Consumer Services include: DKilobox/Balikbayan Box, N-pack/X-pack, N-pouch/X-pouch,Order Padala, Sea Cargo (LCL), Online Remittance, Bills Xpress, Remit to Account, Instant Pera Padala, Send and Swipe Card and Door-to-Door Delivery while Business Services include: International Cargo, Courier and Parcel, Bulk Mail, General Cargo, Less than a Truckload, Full Truckload, Full Container Load, Less Than Container Load, RORO, Warehousing, Reverse Logistics, Crossdocking, Pick and Pack, Cash on Deliver (COD), Inventory Management, Cash Collection Solution, Cash Disbursement Solution, Corporate PP (PesoPak), Corporate IPP (Instant Peso Padala), Send and Swipe Card (SNS) and Remit to Account (RTA). They also cover Printing services like: Full Color Variable Printing, Transpromo Printing, Direct Mail Printing and Book Printing.

House and community management

LBC Foundation is a known supporter of Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation or Gawad Kalinga (GK), a non-profit organization that provides housing to marginalized communities in the Philippines. LBC Express, through its CSR arm, encourages its employees to volunteer regularly on housing projects conducted by Gawad Kalinga for three years. The two organizations were able provide and turn over a number of houses to selected communities in the Philippines.

Sports activities

LBC Foundation pioneered a number of sports-related activities to encourage positive change among the Filipino people. One of the most notable sports activities held by the foundation is the recently held LBC Cup 2014 Palarong SG (Singapore) which was participated by Filipinos from different sectors and organizations. The event was held in Jurong West Sports Hall, Singapore. The one-day sports event held three sports categories: men’s basketball, women’s volleyball and badminton. Over 38 teams compete in three sports division and vie for the grand prizes for each category. The event was attended by Philippine Ambassador Antonio A. Morales.
