Background and early life
Tandon comes from a Punjabi family which has been settled in Uttar Pradesh.
Career
Tandon was the first runner-up of Grasim Mr. India contest held in January 2005. Upon return from the United States after his acting course, he was offered a role in the show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, and is perhaps best known to the public for his role as Virat Singh Vadhera in that television soap. During the show, he shaved off his hair to show his support for a bald young cancer patient.
In 2012, he was ranked sixth in Eastern Eye UK magazine's list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men 2012. Later the same year, Tandon participated in Nach Baliye 5 (season of 2012-13) where his partner was Elena Boeva. In 2013, he participated in the seventh season of the reality television show Bigg Boss, during which he started dating fellow contestant Gauhar Khan, but the couple parted ways a few months after the show. In 2014, Tandon was seen in the music video song "Zaroori Tha" along with ex-girlfriend Gauhar Khan. He currently features opposite Jennifer Winget and Aneri Vajani on the Sony Entertainment Television romantic thriller Beyhadh.
