V. Raju, former CCI Chairman and Raasi Cements who was given first Padma shree from Cement Industry, Dr. B. Rama Raju, well known Urologist and Head of Urology at Osmania Medical College, Dr.Kalidindi Venkatapathi Raju,Professor of Mathematics and first employee of famous NIT, Warangal, B.R.K Raju (former Member of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission), B.Satyanarayana Raju(CMC), Kalidindi Krishnam Raju (Founder-Director of M/S Visualsoft Technologies Limited) etc.

    • Late Bhupathiraju Tirupathi Raju, founded village library in 1897 basically to educate the villagers and has taken up many remarkable missions such as women's education,literacy movements,eradication of untouchability etc. The library truly worked as Information hub besides working as Post office,Ayurveda clinic etc.He was known as Grandhalaya Bheeshma.

    Late Bhupathiraju Vissam Raju, father of Dr.Rama Raju and Sri Satyanarayana Raju, was a great philontrophist and encouraged and donated liberally to the growth of education in the tiny village in 1940's.

    Late Bhupathiraju Ramamurthy Raju,brother of Tirupathi Raju, was a freedom fighter and Congress leader.His contributions to Bhimavaram Urban Cooperative Bank and many canal developments in the vicinity,fight with AP Government against water cess etc. are some of them.Comrade Puchalapalli Sundaraiah spent more than a year (after the defeat of Communists in AP Elections)and regarded Sri Ramamurthy raju as his second Political Guru.Combination of Ramamurthy Raju, Comrade Sundaraiah and Vavila Gopala Krishnaih and their fight against anti farmers policies have brought many changes in the policies of the government.

    Late Sagiraju Rajamraju ,was a veteran actor and choreographer who acted in more than a 1000 films and won nandhi award for the best actor, for the movie 1940 Lo Oka Gramam.

  • Kumudavalli Library, founded in 1897 by Bhupathiraju Tirupathi Raju is regarded as one of the greatest heritage libraries in Asia.
  • Nearly 30 People Participated actively in the freedom struggle and industrialists have hailed from this village.
