Krest-Khaldzhay (Russian: Крест-Хальджай) is a rural locality (a selo), the administrative centre of and one of three settlements, in addition to Ary-Tolon and Udarnik, in Bayagantaysky Rural Okrug of Tomponsky District in the Sakha Republic, Russia. It is located 90 kilometers (56 mi) from Khandyga, the administrative center of the district. Its population as of the 2002 Census was 1,513. Fyodor Okhlopkov (Russian: Фёдор Матве́евич Охло́пков; (March 2, 1908 - May 28, 1968)), a Soviet sniper during World War II, credited with as many as 429 kills, was born in Krest-Khaldzhay.
