The Kolkata - Haldibari InterCity Express is a superfast express train connecting Kolkata and Haldibari in West Bengal India. It is the fastest day service train in the Kolkata Chitpur/Howrah – Haldibari section. This train connects North and South of West Bengal touching Bihar, Jharkhand and passing Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Malda and Santiniketan.

Introduction
The train started in the year 2005 used to run between Sealdah and New Jalpaiguri with train no 12503/12504 belong to North East Frontier Railway and used to have only Un-Reserved Second Class Seating. Latter on this train was extended to Haldibari and originating station was changed from Sealdah to Kolkata Chitpur Station. There is 2S and CC seating

Anybody can buy an unreserved ticket from a ticket counter and can occupy reserved seats in reserve compartment if found empty and paying the reservation charge to TTE

It is mostly hauled by WDM3A class locomotives of Bardhaman Junction Loco Shed. Rarely locos from Howrah, Malda Shed are seen.
