Kokopelli is the second album by British band Kosheen released in the UK through Moksha Recordings on 11 August 2003. The album saw the band lean towards the rock music genre.

Contents

Band member Darren Beale states they named the album after a North American Indian named Kokopelli. He states "He was a spiritual character and he used to travel from the all villages and reservations to spread fertility, you know, to make their crops grow. I suppose he was like a witch doctor as well and he used to do some music and dance. We were kind of into American history and culture anyway but then Sian was reading about this guy and we thought we'd link it to that."

  • "Violence"

    • The track "Violence" could be downloaded inserting your Kokopelli CD in the computer's CD-Rom drive, and going to a special area of the Kosheen website available only when the CD was in the drive. The track was automatically downloaded to your computer for free, as an 160kbit/s mp3. However, this website no longer exists (Kosheen's site now being a subsite of Moksha Recordings), and "Violence" has not been released elsewhere. This means that Violence is currently only available via peer to peer networks. The lyrics for "Violence" and the web info remained printed in the UK album booklet even after the website change.
