Kitchen Superstar is a 2011 competitive cooking game show in the Philippines. It debuted on April 4, 2011 on GMA Network, and is hosted by actor/restaurateur, Marvin Agustin.

Contents

The program seeks to discover the best non-professional cook in the country through a series of nationwide auditions. The contestants were selected from the various auditions that were held in seven key areas in the country – NCR, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Davao, Naga, Cebu, and Iloilo.

Aside from the title, the prizes at stake includes PH₱ 1,000,000 (or US$ 24,000), a chance to shine as a culinary A-lister and to star in his/her own cooking show.

Format

Of all people who auditioned nationwide, the top three from each area will be collected and will compete with one another in Manila. The cook-contestants have to survive different kitchen showdowns (Mega Showdown, Prize Showdown, and Elimination Showdown) in order to win and be the first Kitchen Superstar.
