Kitab Al-Irshad Ila Qawati Al-Adilla Fi Usul Al-I'tiqad (Arabic: کتاب الارشاد علی قواطع الادله فی اصول الاعتقاد), commonly known simply as Al-Irshad ("The Guide"), is a major classic of Islamic theology. Its author, Al-Juwayni, was the leading theologian of his time; he was more famous for his many important treatises on the principles of law, and for having been the teacher of the great Ghazali.
His writings in the field of theology, especially Al-Irshad, represent a high point of the development of theology in the then contemporary Islamic world. In Al-Irshad Al-Juwayni systematically set out what the author considered the sure proofs for the principles of any discourse about God, His attributes, about what must be said concerning Him, and how the human being should understand what is possible in respect to God.
