Kissmetrics provides visualization tools on how users interact with their website, web apps, and mobile products. It collects and shows customers acquisition data for each user. In 2013 Kissmetrics acquired SourceNinja, a startup offering to help companies manage security flaws in their open source libraries. As of 2013, it has raised $7 million in venture capital funds.

In 2013, Kissmetrics finalized the settlement of a class-action lawsuit resulting from its alleged use of "supercookies" to track people online.
