Early life

King Tatie was born in London, England. At an early age, King Tatie displayed a huge passion to perform and entertain around the house, at school talent shows, and around any audiences who were willing to listen. Her parents, upon seeing King Tatie's passion, started enrolling her in vocal, modeling, dancing, and acting training; simultaneously with her training, King Tatie would perform in showcases, pageants, and competitions to help build her stage presence and to help with being comfortable performing in a crowd.

2010–14: Career beginnings

In July 2010, King Tatie flew to Los Angeles to compete in the World Championships of Performing Arts; this competition is an international competition, with 47 countries and 70,000 competitors competing to win. At the time, King Tatie was the first and only competitor from the United Kingdom to compete in the World Championships, and she came out with five medals. King Tatie says that, "Entering the competition really made me realize that performing is something I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and that no one would stop me from achieving my dream.”

Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2012, King Tatie starred as a lead role in the documentary, The Audition, about child actors in Hollywood, produced by Candice Breitz. The Audition has been shown worldwide in America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa. King Tatie also starred in the feature film, Dance-Off, alongside Shane Harper, Kathryn McCormick, and Chelsea Tavares, as well as Nickelodeon's Junior Eye.

King Tatie released her first single "This is How We Do It" in 2012. A promotional tour for the single followed shortly after the release. While in Zimbabwe for the promotional tour, King Tatie performed and presented at the Hip Hop Awards 2012, and did radio and television interviews, as well as a radio commercial for Nugget Shoe Polish.

2013-present: Music, Acting, and Modeling

In 2014, King Tatie opened up for Soulja Boy in Denver, Colorado (she was then interviewed following the concert), Ice Prince in Africa, and has embarked on a world tour in America, Africa, Dubai and England, where she performed at the Southburgh Festival of World Music, UK, where she "wowed the crowd". King Tatie has appeared as a front page, feature and cover spread for newspapers in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and England.. In 2015, King Tatie embarked on a school tour in order to promote staying in school, a topic which she is very passionate about. In the Summer, King Tatie released her Royal Proclamation EP via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and other major music digital networks.

Personal life

When asked why she calls herself a King instead of a Queen, King Tatie responded, “I want to be the King of music. I want to empower young people, especially young girls, that they can do anything they set their minds to, regardless of their gender.” King Tatie writes all of her songs and is noted as a lyricist, due to her extensive use of vocabulary, metaphors, and analogies that she uses in her songs. In order to focus more on her entertainment career, King Tatie enrolled in online school. She has previously stated that she takes her education very seriously, and would love to go to Harvard University, where she would like to double major in Fine Arts and Business.
