  • 2012 When Democratic Representative Robert Gilligan retired and left the District 19 seat open, Williams won the September 11, 2012 Democratic Primary with 710 votes (54.3%), and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 6,088 votes (65.5%) against Republican nominee Dennis Cini.
