Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar (Urdu: مخدوم خسرو بختیار; born 7 July 1969) is a Pakistani politician who is currently a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League (N). Previously he served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Early life and education

Bakhtiar was born on 7 July 1969.

He graduated from the University of Punjab in 1990, and received an LLB (Hons.) degree in 1994 from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln's Inn United Kingdom in 1995.
Political career
He has served as member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan on PML-Q ticket from constituency NA-194 Rahim Yar Khan-III in Pakistani general election, 2002 and subsequently became Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in 2004.
He ran for the seat of National Assembly on PML-Q ticket from constituency NA-194 Rahim Yar Khan-III in Pakistani general election, 2008 but was unsuccessful.
He was re-elected to the National Assembly as an independent candidate from constituency NA-194 Rahim Yar Khan-III in Pakistani general election, 2013 after which he joined PML-N. He also won a Provincial Assembly of Punjab seat. He lost the NA-195 seat.
