Khurshid Qureshi is the president and CEO of VerdeLogix Corporation, a company providing intelligent solutions for green / alternative energy. He is also a senior partner with Technology Infrastructure Group dedicated to develop entrepreneurial and research capabilities and Knowledge Base Economy (KBE) in underdeveloped countries. Some of the projects TI Group is currently engaged in are in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Palestine, Afghanistan & Pakistan. TI Group has already completed technology incubators at King Saud University, Technology Transfer Office & Riyadh Techno Valley.

Life

Qureshi, a serial entrepreneur, has started many high tech firms such as zeeWAVES, TI Group, and co-founded 1EcomNet and MTI Corporation. Previously Qureshi has worked for General Motors Corporation as Advanced Technology Director and New Vehicle Manager for Saturn. Some of the well-known projects Qureshi worked on GM included Chevy Express (Gas Turbine vehicle), Saturn Hybrid Vehicle, and OnStar navigation System. He was also manager for Saturn SL1 low cost vehicle for students and first time car buyers. He introduced many innovations such as plastic fuel tanks, plastic panels, and modular engine blocks.

Qureshi holds 12 US and international patents in the area of transportation, wireless and security. He helped King Saud University to establish first technology incubator (Riyadh Innovation Center) in Saudi Arabia, developed strategies for Riyadh Techno Valley and Technology transfer and Intellectual Property Office. He also co-organized the International Knowledge Conference (Noor) in Madinah.

Khurshid Qureshi is the past the president of the Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers (AMSE). In addition, he served as the member the board of directors of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and is the past chairman of Society of Automotive Engineers Rocky Mountain Area, and the past president of Colorado Engineering Society. He is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurial, Islamic, and geopolitical issues on international circuit.

He is graduate of Oklahoma State University and Stuart School of Business (IIT Chicago). He has also completed Executive Management program at UCLA.

Social Works

In the early days of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), he helped to establish chapters in Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Kansas, and Arkansas. He also founded the first regularly scheduled Islamic youth camp in the United States, Al Hilal Youth Camp, which recently observed its 27th anniversary. He served as a member of board of Directors of Islamic Association of Greater Detroit. In the 1980s, he advised the Government of Pakistan regarding improvement of science and technology education to develop a strong industrial base in the country.
