History
Kheri Ram Nagar was founded by Sh.Nannu Ji about 150 years ago. He arrived from a nearby village named "Mathana", which is in the same district, Kurukshetra. The village is still called "Nannu wali Kheri" by village elders.
Famous personalities- Late.Sh.Bhulla Ram Ex.President Ror Mahasabha. Late.Sh.Kabaj Singh Ex.Sarpanch. Late.Sh. Sher Singh Sher who was a local women's rights advocate, organized free volleyball clinics and tournaments for local boys and girls, famous wrestler, ex.sarpanch and great sports person. Nirmal Devi Verma is a local women's rights advocate, first female Sarpanch, former principal of Government High School: Amin, and former block officer of Thanesa public schools, leader of Punjab National Cadet Core (NCC) which participated in India Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. Vijay Sher M.P. Ed., NIS, Ph.D. in Sports Psychology is an American NRI from Kheri Ram Nagar who is the first Ph.D. holder in the village, granted at Kurukshetra University on April 17th of 1996 in Physical Education, member of Indian National Volleyball team (1984-1985) when he participated in the Federation Cup Volleyball Tournament held at Calicut, also member of combined Indian University team, and three time Inter-University Volleyball Championship winning team (1983, 1984, 1985) representing Kurukshetra University, is son of the Late Sher Singh Sher and Nirmal Devi Varma.
