The college is located in the heart of Kharagpur town in the district Paschim Medinipur, formerly called Midnapore.It is approx 4km. from Kharagpur Bus-stand. It is well connected in terms of accessibility by road network and railway. As the Kharagpur is an important railway Junction, it is easier to reach to that point from all over India. As the location of the college is in outskirt of Kharagpur town, it need time to reach college from the heart of the town. On the other way, it is much easier to reach college from nearby town Midnapore by road network.
Accreditation
Recently, Kharagpur College has been awarded B+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
