The Khamseh Arabs are an Arab Nomadic and pastoral tribe of the Fars Province in Iran. They are a part of Khamseh confederation.They speak a dialect of Gulf Arabic.Their population is about 260,000 in the whole country.

Branches

There are two Arab Tribes in Fars Province: Sheybani and Jabbareh

Sheybani

The Sheybani (or Sheibani) migrated to Iran before the Other group. At first they were settled in Khorasan and after years they migrated to Fars district. Also a Group of them live in Sheyban city of Bavi County in Khuzestan

Jabbareh

The Jabbareh settled in Fars after The Sheybani and Know themselves as the descendants of Jabir ibn Abd Allah ,a prominent companion of prophet Muhammad. Their ancestor, Sheikh Jinaah, migrated to Fars and married to a Sheybani girl and named his descendants "Jabbareh", The name of his progenitor.

Language

Khamseh Arabs speak a dialect of Gulf Arabic Which has a great amount of Persian words. Their Language is a little hard for other Arabs to understand.

Religion

Khamseh Arabs are mostly Shia Muslims but Sunni Muslims are not hard to find between them.
