Etymology
Kesamudram derived its name from the local words Kesari (=lion) and Mudram (=foot print). Hence, the name Kesamudram meaning Footprint of Lion.
Geography
Kesamudram is located at 45 km from Warangal. Agricultural Market is one of the biggest markets in the state. The income of the market Rs.6 crors per annum. Kesamudram Market is famous for turmeric.the area called centre is famous in kesamudram.there are many shops in that circle.It's code is KDM. in village there are many cloth stores which is always busy.some of famous cloth stores are Prem cloth store,Vinay cloth stores,Sana readymades etc.
